Vindhyachal: World Sparrow Day was celebrated by NTPC Vindhyachal Environment Management Department at Subhash Chandra Lakepark of the project. This year’s theme was “I love sparrows”. On this occasion, the chief guest and other guests present made artificial nests and hung them on the trees in the Lake Park and an effort was made to make all the city residents aware about the conservation of birds, which is an important initiative for the protection and conservation of birds.
On this occasion, Chief General Manager (Operation and Maintenance) Sameer Sharma, in his address, told all the city residents about the importance of birds and environmental protection and made them aware of the continuous commitment towards bird and environmental protection. He also said that hearing the chirping of sparrows in our homes used to make us feel connected to nature, which has almost been lost these days. Therefore, it is the duty of all of us to ensure our participation in environmental protection by planting as many trees as possible and to contribute towards increasing the numbers of birds.
