Lucknow: World Pharmacist Day was celebrated in the Faculty of Pharmacy of AKTU campus. World Pharmacist Day was celebrated in the Faculty of Pharmacy operating in the university campus in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P. Pandey and Registrar Reena Singh.
On this occasion, the nodal officer of the faculty, Prof. Akash Ved, welcomed the Vice Chancellor and Registrar by giving a bouquet and presented the introduction of the event. The Vice Chancellor started the program by cutting the ribbon.
This year’s theme has been kept by the Pharmacy Council of India as “Pharmacists Meeting Global Needs”. Showing the importance of generic medicines for the betterment of health services, the students of the faculty participated in Rangoli, Slogan Writing, Logo Designing, Pharma Quiz competitions.
B.Pharma. Second year students explained the importance of generic medicines through street plays. The students took out a rally to make the general public aware of the misconceptions about generic medicines, misuse of medicines and disposal of expired medicines with slogans and slogans which started from AKTU campus and continued to make people aware till Bhavani Chowk. The program concluded with the Pharmacist Oath.
The program was organized by Assistant Professor Anjali Singh, Dr. Neelkanth Mani Pujari, Dr. Vikas Chaudhary, Priya Arya, Dr. Jaibir Singh along with Pharma Vision of the Faculty. All the students of the Faculty and the employees of the University participated in the program. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P. Pandey congratulated the members of the Pharmacy Faculty and encouraged the students on Pharmacist Day.
