World Amazed by BJP’s Organisational Functioning: Piyush Goyal

Lucknow: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that the world is astonished by the disciplined, transparent and democratic organisational functioning of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing the BJP Sangathan Parv ceremony at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Ashiyana, he highlighted the party’s unique internal processes while officially announcing the newly elected Uttar Pradesh BJP president and members of the National Council.

Goyal said the BJP is the world’s largest political party and its organisational strength lies in its structured and democratic system. “The world is surprised to see how membership drives and the election of the national president are conducted in such an organised and consensus-driven manner,” he said, adding that such coordination on a massive scale is unimaginable elsewhere.

Credit to Party Workers

Praising BJP workers, the Union Minister said that elections are conducted across 1.62 lakh booths and declarations are made unanimously, a feat made possible only due to the dedication and discipline of party workers. He said the party’s growth was guided by the ideals of leaders such as Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and continues to expand under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda.

The BJP has elected a total of 120 members to its National Council. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have also been included as members, with Modi representing Varanasi and Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur.

Among other prominent leaders, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been elected from Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from Prayagraj and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak from Unnao.
