Lucknow: The Department of Anaesthesia at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), in collaboration with the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, successfully organised a one-day workshop on mechanical ventilation.
The workshop aimed to familiarise healthcare professionals with the latest principles and practical aspects of mechanical ventilation, an essential component in the management of critically ill patients.
Experts from various institutions delivered detailed sessions covering ventilator modes, settings, patient management strategies, and the use of ventilation in emergency situations. The program also included hands-on training sessions, enabling participants to develop real-time decision-making skills in simulated clinical scenarios.
Participants actively engaged in the sessions, contributing through discussions, sharing experiences, and raising queries, which made the workshop highly interactive and informative. The experts addressed these queries while introducing participants to the latest advancements and best practices in critical care ventilation.

Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Prof. Praveen Kumar Das, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, stated that such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing the quality of healthcare services and improving the management of critically ill patients.
He also expressed gratitude to the workshop coordinators, participating faculty members, trainees from various institutions, and the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine for their support in making the event a success.
