Mumbai: Sony SAB is set to present its upcoming medical drama Hui Gumm Yaadein – Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan, a heartfelt story centered on second chances, rediscovery, and emotional healing. The show traces the life-altering journey of Dr. Dev, portrayed by Iqbal Khan, whose world turns upside down after memory loss forces him to reconnect with his past, relationships, and the choices that defined him.
A key presence in this narrative is Vaani, played by actor Srishti Singh. Vaani is portrayed as a strong, self-reliant woman shaped by life’s hardships—resilient, principled, and emotionally guarded. For Srishti, the character goes beyond fiction, carrying a deeply personal resonance.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Srishti was a biology student who had cleared the Dental–BDS entrance, coming close to pursuing a career in medicine. Playing a resident doctor on screen, she says, feels like a meaningful way to fulfill her parents’ long-cherished dream of seeing her become a doctor.
Sharing her emotional connection with the role, Srishti Singh said that wearing a doctor’s scrub on screen feels symbolic, as it allows her to honour her parents’ aspirations in her own way. She reflected that although life led her toward acting, the role of Vaani gives her the opportunity to experience, through storytelling, a profession she once seriously considered. According to her, Vaani’s resilience, ambition, and strong moral compass mirror values she deeply relates to, making the journey especially moving.

With its blend of medical drama and emotional depth, Hui Gumm Yaadein – Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan promises an engaging narrative that explores identity, purpose, and the power of second chances.
The show is set to premiere soon on Sony SAB.
