Chandigarh: The results of the elections held on 90 assembly seats of Haryana have started coming. In the trends coming out of Haryana, BJP is seen getting majority. According to the trends, BJP can form the government for the third time. Meanwhile, India’s veteran wrestler Vinesh Phogat has waved the flag of victory in the political arena.
Vinesh defeated BJP’s Yogesh Kumar by 6000 votes
Vinesh Phogat has won the Julana seat by a huge margin. Vinesh defeated BJP’s Yogesh Kumar by 6015 votes. WWE wrestler Kavita Rani is also among the candidates who lost to Vinesh. Vinesh got a total of 65080 votes, while her rival candidate Yogesh got 59065 votes. While the sitting MLA and Jannayak Janata Party candidate Amarjit Singh got only 2477 votes and lost by 62603 votes. Amarjit finished fourth.
Indian National Lok Dal’s Surendra Lathar is in third place with 10158 votes. WWE wrestler and Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kavita got 1280 votes and stood fifth. Actually, the Olympian wrestler gave Congress victory on the seat where the party was losing for the last 19 years, but this time Vinesh has ended the long wait of Congress. In the last election, Congress was at number three. Congress has won in Julana for the first time since 2005.
Bajrang Punia congratulated Vinesh Phogat on victory
On Vinesh’s victory, Bajrang Punia wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations to the country’s daughter Vinesh Phogat on her victory. This fight was not just for the Julana seat, it was not just with 3-4 other candidates, it was not just a fight between parties. This fight was against the strongest oppressive forces of the country. And Vinesh emerged victorious in it.”
Vinesh Phogat suffered a setback in the Paris Olympic Game
It is worth mentioning that Vinesh Phogat has suffered a major setback in the Paris Olympics to be held in 2024. Wrestler Vinesh participated in the women’s 50 kg weight category in the Olympics. She performed brilliantly and secured a place in the finals, but before the start of the final match, Vinesh’s weight increased by about 100 grams, due to which she was disqualified.
