VidyaGyan School Sitapur Crowned Overall Champions at CBSE Cluster 4 Games

Strong show across all age groups; top athletes shine at three-day event in Lucknow

Lucknow : VidyaGyan School, Sitapur emerged as the overall champions at the CBSE Cluster 4 Games, outperforming participating teams from various districts across Uttar Pradesh. The three-day inter-school sports meet, held at the Sports Authority of India’s Regional Centre in Lucknow, was hosted by Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Kanpur Road Campus.

VidyaGyan clinched the championship by securing the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 category trophies, showcasing their athletic dominance throughout the competition. APS Nehru Road was declared the runner-up, while Lucknow Public College, Vinamra Khand, claimed the third position.

In the Best Athlete categories:

  • Under-14 Boys: Tanmay (VidyaGyan School, Sitapur)
  • Under-14 Girls: Palak Mishra (Lucknow Public School, Vinamra Khand)
  • Under-17 Boys: Shivansh Shukla (VidyaGyan School, Sitapur)
  • Under-17 Girls: Sakshi Khanna (Kannauj Public School, Kannauj)
  • Under-19 Boys: Ayush Kumar (SGTB School, Lakhimpur)
  • Under-19 Girls: Priyanshu Kumari (APS Command)

Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Kursi Road Campus, also impressed with its performance, winning two medals.

  • Aradhya Bajpai secured a silver medal in the Under-14 Shot Put, qualifying for the CBSE Nationals.
  • The Under-14 boys’ 4x100m relay team clinched a bronze medal, featuring Shoyeb Ansari, Priyanshu Shukla, Lavyansh Singh, and Musab Bin Khalid.

The grand closing ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests including Javed Alam Khan (Joint Director, Lucknow Public College), Tulika Charan (Corporate Office, Jaipuria Group), Kirti Mishra (Arjuna Awardee and retired international diver from Indian Railways), CBSE Observer Vivek Singh, and Chief Technical Representative Abhay Kumar Srivastava.

From the host school, Chairman Shiv Shankar Awasthi, Trustee Atul Awasthi, Director Anuj Awasthi, and Principal Poonam Gautam awarded medals and trophies to the winners, acknowledging the remarkable athletic spirit displayed during the tournament.

The CBSE Cluster 4 Games not only highlighted athletic excellence but also fostered a sense of unity, discipline, and sportsmanship among young talents across the state.
