Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh Felicitates Mohit Sharma on Receiving National Youth Award

Bareilly — In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of social service, Mohit Sharma, a student of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, has been honoured with the prestigious National Youth Award (2022-23) by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in the individual category.

On this proud occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh congratulated and felicitated Mohit Sharma at the university, praising his continued efforts in social work and commending his role in bringing national recognition to the university.

Prof. Singh appreciated Mohit’s achievements and encouraged him to keep working diligently for the betterment of society while fulfilling his responsibilities as a student. “He is a role model for the youth. I urge all students to be inspired by Mohit’s dedication to community welfare,” he said, extending his best wishes for Mohit’s bright future.

Mohit Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Vice-Chancellor, stating that Prof. Singh has always motivated and supported him in every endeavor. Notably, Mohit was earlier honoured by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, with the National NSS Award, and by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with the Vivekananda Youth Award, the highest state-level award for youth. He has also received the State Road Safety Award from the UP Transport Department.

For the past two years, Mohit has served as Brand Ambassador for Cleanliness in Bareilly. His voluntary work includes raising awareness about government welfare schemes, promoting public health, voter education, literacy, and women’s empowerment.

On receiving the National Youth Award, several dignitaries and faculty members congratulated Mohit, including University Registrar Sanjeev Kumar, NSS Coordinator Prof. Sompal Singh, Research Director Prof. Alok Srivastava, History Faculty Dean Prof. Vijay Bahadur Singh, and faculty members Prof. Shyam Bihari Lal, Prof. Tulika Saxena, Prof. Santosh Arora, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Dr. Priya Saxena, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur, Dr. Amit Singh, and Tapan Verma.
