Lucknow: The Uttarakhand Mahotsav, organized by the Uttarakhand Mahaparishad, will be held from November 9 to 18, 2025, at Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Parvatiya Sanskritik Upvan, Birbal Sahni Marg, Lucknow. The grand celebration marks the Diamond Jubilee of Uttarakhand Foundation Day and promises ten days of vibrant cultural activities, music, art, and cuisine.
Ahead of the festival, the stage will light up with two exciting pre-events — the “War of Bands” on November 7 and a Uttarakhand-themed Dandiya Night on November 8, which will fill the Awadhi evenings with festive rhythms.
According to Rajesh Bisht, Secretary of the Uttarakhand Mahaparishad, this is the first-ever War of Bands in Lucknow, featuring six selected bands out of 25 contestants. “It will be a thrilling competition that will leave the audience spellbound,” he said. The winning band will receive a trophy, ₹25,000 in cash, a four-day Uttarakhand tour, promotion during the Mahotsav, and a professionally composed song by SwarAnjali Studio. The runner-up will also be felicitated with a trophy and promotional opportunities during the event.
In addition, a special Dandiya Night on November 8 will showcase performances to Uttarakhandi tunes, blending traditional beats with festive energy. Artists from both Uttarakhand and Lucknow will join in the celebration, making the evening come alive along the banks of the Gomti River.

The venue will also feature a range of food and craft stalls offering Uttarakhand delicacies, woollen garments, Bal Mithai, local pulses, gaderi (yam), radish, dry fruits, and handcrafted jewellery.
With preparations in full swing, the Uttarakhand Mahotsav is shaping up to be one of Lucknow’s grandest cultural events after the famed Lucknow Mahotsav, reflecting the hard work and dedication of organizers and volunteers alike.
