Uttara

Lucknow: Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh,  Navdeep Rinwa  launched a new digital initiative ‘Uttara’. ‘Uttara’, a digital mascot aimed at providing election related information to voters and resolving their queries, reaches out to the public through social media.

Voters will be able to ask their questions through the official handles of the Chief Electoral Officer on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. This will provide answers to these questions through digital videos each day.

The main objective of Uttara is to make voters more aware and motivate them to vote. With the release of this initaitive, a new chapter has been added in voter awareness and digital dialogue in Uttar Pradesh. Through this innovative effort, voters’ queries will be resolved digitally.

In view of marked rise in day temperature, those engaged in electioneering in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls here have made some adjustments in their public connect programmes to beat the heat so that both party workers and their supporters can be safeguarded from heatstroke. Lucknow recorded 42 degrees Celsius on Friday and there is no respite in sight from heatwave in near future.

Giving priority to their workers’ health, the Samajwadi Party leaders too have made changes in their timings to connect with people as they drum up support for their sitting MLA Ravidas Mehrotra who has been fielded against Rajnath Singh from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.
