Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the grand Uttar Pradesh Skill Mela 2025 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, marking World Youth Skills Day with a celebration of talent, innovation, and empowerment. Over 100 stalls showcased the vibrant vision of a self-reliant UP through exhibits in handicrafts, healthcare, electronics, AI, LiFi, and automation.
Five Skill Rath vans, launched in collaboration with Tata Technologies, will travel across all 75 districts spreading awareness about skill development and job opportunities. An MoU with MNNIT Prayagraj was signed to enhance training quality and curriculum development.
Fifteen “Skill Youth Icons” were honoured for transforming their lives through training. Women entrepreneurs and rural daughters impressed visitors with eco-friendly handmade products. A cultural evening added colour to the day, celebrating UP’s folk heritage.

Panel discussions, workshops on soft skills, and innovation showcases underlined the state’s commitment to bridging skill gaps and creating job creators, not seekers. The two-day event concluded with awards and a cultural finale on July 16.
