Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government in collaboration with GCAP World Softech Pvt Ltd organized the launch program of “Scholar Planet App” at Government Girls Inter College, Gomti Nagar. This app provides a holistic digital platform for students, teachers and educational institutions, which is an important step towards making educational experiences modern and accessible.
Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar said that this app is going to bring revolutionary changes in secondary education. ICT labs equipped with modern technology are being set up in every government secondary school. Along with this, students will be given information about robotics and AI through Atal Tinkering Labs, and training is being arranged in every government school for vocational efficiency. He thanked GCAP World Softech for their cooperation and said that far-reaching positive results will be seen in the education sector through the Scholar Planet App.
The Scholar Planet app has been developed with the aim of creating smart schools, learners, and teachers. It uses modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, and data analytics to assist students in every aspect of their educational journey. The app aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy, which promotes the use of technology in educational processes.
So far, 30,499 students and 655 teachers from 91 schools in Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Unnao, and Rae Bareli have joined the platform. These institutions have been taught to use the platform through 54 onboarding sessions and training programs, so that they can better track students’ progress and use digital means efficiently.
The Scholar Planet app provides learning tools according to the individual needs of each student. This will not only increase students’ educational participation but also improve their outcomes. Teachers can use the platform for assignment management, monitoring students’ progress, and better communication.
The launch event was attended by Director General, Kanchan Verma (IAS), CEO of GCAP, Gauri Kumar (IAS, Retd.), and Ravindra Singh (IAS, Retd.).
