Lucknow – In a robust display of support for local industry, traders in Lucknow’s Charbagh area organized a “Adopt Swadeshi, Reject Foreign” campaign today, encouraging citizens to prioritize Indian-made products.
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Bansal, National President of the All India Industry and Trade Association (AIIBT) and former UP minister, emphasized the economic significance of the initiative. He stated, “If Indian products are used, India will grow stronger. If American products are used, American companies gain strength and America benefits. It is up to the people of India to decide which nation they want to empower – India or America.”
Bansal urged all traders to participate actively by displaying banners in their shops promoting Swadeshi products, and encouraged ensuring that purchases and sales focus on goods from Indian companies.
The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from traders under the leadership of Suresh Chablani, City President of AIIBT, Anuj Gautam, Secretary, Amarnath Chaudhary, President of Charbagh Trade Association, and Mukesh Agrawal, Secretary. Merchants from Charbagh and Paan Dariba areas actively engaged with the public, collecting signatures to support the initiative and pledging to prioritize Swadeshi products in their businesses.

Prominent attendees included Dipesh Gupta, Padam Jain, Ramesh Shukla, Kamal Gulati, Jai Miglani, Vikas Saxena, Sunit Sahu, Vikrant Yadav, Sanjeev Kohli, Prahlad Rajput, Gaurav Jain, among others.
The campaign highlighted the growing local sentiment to strengthen India’s economy through conscious consumer choices, while fostering unity among the city’s trading community for a Swadeshi-focused future.
