New York: Tennis fans are in for a thrilling opening at the US Open 2025 as the organisers roll out a spectacular all-new mixed doubles showcase, bringing together the sport’s top-ranked names. The star-studded competition will be live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network, giving fans in India front-row access to this fresh presentation at Flushing Meadows.
The mixed doubles event is a curtain-raiser to the US Open, and will take place across Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20, just days before the singles draws commence on Sunday, August 24. The showcase will feature a total of 16 participants: the top eight based on combined singles rankings, and eight wild card pairings.
This innovative scheduling ensures that the world’s top singles players can participate in the mixed doubles event, while also ensuring a mouth-watering line-up for fans. Tennis royalty and rising stars alike will share the same court, with some electrifying combinations already announced:
