Lucknow/Kanpur : Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has emerged as a frontrunner in driving industrial investment, job creation, and infrastructure expansion across the state. From MSMEs to mega projects, UPSIDA’s multifaceted growth model is laying the foundation for Uttar Pradesh to become India’s next industrial powerhouse.
Revenue Tripled Since 2021
Marking a significant leap, UPSIDA recorded ₹1,898 crore in revenue in FY 2023–24 and is projected to reach ₹1,937 crore in FY 2024–25, more than three times the revenue in 2021–22. Evolving beyond a mere land allotment body, UPSIDA now leads in policy development, investment promotion, and infrastructure delivery.
1,600+ Industrial Plots Allotted
Thanks to a transparent and efficient allotment system, over 1,600 industrial plots have been allotted in the past three years, including 798 in FY 2024–25 alone, fostering investment and generating employment across sectors.
From 2 to 42 Online Services
In line with the Digital India vision, UPSIDA has revolutionized service delivery, offering 42 digital services via platforms like ‘Nivesh Mitra’, e-auctions, online payments, and grievance redressal. Over 31,000 online applications have been received to date, with a 96% resolution rate.
Record ₹6,190 Crore Infrastructure Budget
For FY 2025–26, a historic ₹6,190 crore budget has been approved for expanding smart infrastructure, including 24/7 power, water supply, roads, and sewage networks in industrial hubs.

Efficiency Through Cost Control
UPSIDA has cut administrative expenditure by 9%, while boosting capital expenditure nearly fourfold from ₹104 crore in 2017–18 to ₹415 crore in 2023–24, exemplifying the “less spend, more impact” approach of the Yogi government.
Empowering Women & Inclusive Growth
Initiatives like pink toilets, dormitories, and women’s help desks have been introduced to promote women’s participation in industrial zones. Under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission, skill development and health services focused on women are being implemented.
Greener Industrial Future
Aligning with sustainability goals, UPSIDA is actively working on green belts, solid and liquid waste management, and pollution control measures to strike a balance between development and ecology.
Mega Investment, Mega Impact
In May 2025, UPSIDA’s Mega Allotment Drive resulted in the allocation of 113 plots, attracting ₹700 crore in investment and projecting over 4,800 job opportunities. The model supports both small-scale industries through affordable land and simplified processes and large investors through dedicated clusters and policy support.
