UP T20 League: Bhuvneshwar Kumar Likely to Lead Lucknow Falcons, Team Gears Up for Clash Against Noida Kings at Ekana

Lucknow – Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is all set to take over the captaincy of the Lucknow Falcons in the upcoming edition of the UP T20 League, scheduled to begin on August 17. While the official announcement is expected shortly, sources close to team management confirm that Bhuvneshwar’s wealth of experience and calm leadership make him the frontrunner for the role.

The Lucknow Falcons training camp will commence on August 6 and continue till August 15 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, the home venue for the team’s league matches.

The Falcons will open their campaign against Noida Kings in what promises to be an electrifying encounter. The league will run from August 17 to September 6, featuring top-tier domestic talent and seasoned professionals.

Team owner Uday Sinha expressed optimism about the squad’s prospects, stating that the team is keen to assess its readiness through intensive practice sessions. He also mentioned that based on recent trials conducted at Ekana Stadium, a shortlist of seven promising players will soon be announced.

With Bhuvneshwar Kumar expected to lead the charge, the Lucknow Falcons aim to be strong contenders in this season’s UP T20 League, bringing a blend of youth and experience to their campaign.
