UP STF Nabs 7th Accused in LDA Fake Registry Scam, Uncovers Missing Files

Lucknow : In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested another key accused in the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) fake registry scam. The accused, identified as Sushil Mishra, was apprehended from Dayal Chauraha in Gomtinagar, marking the seventh arrest in the case.

This arrest comes amid shocking revelations that 24 out of 45 crucial files related to LDA land allotments have mysteriously gone missing. While the STF has already submitted reports on 21 files, the disappearance of the remaining ones has deepened the mystery and raised serious questions about internal collusion.

The STF has been actively pursuing the case and had earlier arrested six individuals—Achleshwar Gupta, Mukesh Maurya, Dhananjay Singh, Ram Bahadur Singh, Rahul Singh, and Sachin. From them, officials recovered 23 fake registry documents, along with forged bank passbooks and cheques used in fraudulent land deals.

Sushil Mishra is believed to be an active member of the syndicate involved in preparing and selling forged LDA documents to unsuspecting buyers. The STF suspects the involvement of more insiders and is continuing its investigation to uncover the full scale of the scam.

The case has triggered widespread concern over corruption and document tampering within the LDA. Authorities have vowed strict action and intensified efforts to locate the missing files and hold all involved accountable.
