Greater Noida | Uttar Pradesh Police showcased an exemplary model of smart policing and security management during the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 (UPITS-2025), ensuring the mega event remained safe, grand, and incident-free. From safeguarding foreign and VIP delegates to managing the daily influx of lakhs of visitors, the police force combined vigilance with cutting-edge technology to deliver a “zero-incident event.”
Multi-layered Security and Smart Monitoring
The sprawling venue was divided into nine zones and 20 sectors, each under tight security cover. More than 550 CCTV cameras, drones, and anti-drone systems provided round-the-clock surveillance, coordinated through a 24-hour digital control and command center. The seamless digital monitoring played a crucial role in keeping the event secure and well-organized.
Deployment at Scale
According to Additional Police Commissioner (Greater Noida) Rajeev Narayan Mishra, the force deployed was massive. Seven DCPs, 14 ADCPs, 38 ACPs, 80 inspectors, 300 sub-inspectors, 40 women sub-inspectors, and over 1,400 constables were stationed at the venue. To further strengthen the security net, **seven companies of PAC** and **one company of RAF** were also pressed into service. Special attention was given to women’s safety, with 150 female constables deployed.
Smooth Traffic Management
Traffic arrangements were equally robust. With the deployment of 10 traffic inspectors, 20 TSIs, 450 traffic constables, and three ACPs (Traffic), movement to and from the venue was kept hassle-free. Visitors noted smooth access, free from major congestion, reflecting the efficiency of the police’s traffic planning.
Parking and Accessibility

Parking was another priority, with seven designated lots accommodating more than 15,000 vehicles. The largest, NASA Parking, could hold up to 10,000 vehicles. Shuttle buses were arranged to ferry visitors conveniently from parking zones to the venue. Signboards across the city further eased navigation, especially for foreign delegates.
Tech-driven Policing
Smart policing extended beyond physical deployment. Police used social media platforms to share traffic diversions, routes, and safety updates, helping visitors plan their travel effectively. Anti-drone technology was deployed to neutralize aerial threats, further reinforcing the security cover.
A Model for the Future
The UP Police’s strategy at UPITS-2025 has been hailed as a milestone in security and event management. By blending manpower with modern technology and adopting a citizen-friendly approach, the force set a benchmark for managing large-scale international events in India.
