Lucknow: The 7th Provincial Convention of the Uttar Pradesh Local Body Employees Federation concluded at the Kanpur Municipal Corporation. In the elections held during the convention, Shashi Kumar Mishra from Lucknow was re-elected as the State President for the term starting from 2014. Ramakant Mishra from Kanpur was elected as the State General Secretary, and Rakesh Agnihotri from Ghaziabad was chosen as the Working State President.
Other key office bearers elected from Lucknow include Gomti Trivedi as Treasurer, Syed Qaiser Raza as Senior Vice President, Nitin Trivedi as Vice President, Shailendra Tiwari as Secretary, and Sudhakar Mishra as Publicity Secretary. Ram Kumar Rawat from the Awadh region was elected as the Regional President. The executive committee members elected include Anand Mishra, Manoj Verma, Harishankar Pandey, Mohd. Ayub, Pradeep Singh, Mohd. Hanif, and R. P. Singh.
A large number of representatives from Lucknow units participated in the Kanpur convention. These units included the Nagar Nigam Jalkal Karmchari Sangh (Municipal Corporation Water Works Employees Union), U.P. Chaturth Shreni Nagar Nigam Karmchari Sangh (UP Class IV Municipal Corporation Employees Union), Jalkal Nagar Nigam Regular and Outsourcing Karmchari Sangh (Water Works Municipal Corporation Regular and Outsourcing Employees Union), Nagar Nigam RR Karmchari Sangh (Municipal Corporation RR Employees Union), and Nagar Nigam Regular and Contractual Safai Karmchari Sangh (Municipal Corporation Regular and Contractual Sanitation Workers Union).
Today, upon their return to Lucknow, the newly elected state leadership was warmly welcomed by the employee organizations of the Lucknow unit with garlands and flowers.
