Lucknow – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended his support to the upcoming second season of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL), which is set to commence on December 25, 2025.
The announcement came after Sambhav Jain, founder and director of SJ Uplift Kabaddi Pvt. Ltd., met the Chief Minister last week to brief him about preparations for the new season.

“We are grateful to the Uttar Pradesh government and CM Yogi Adityanath for their constant encouragement in promoting a sporting culture across the state,” Jain said. “The success of the first season was not only a proud moment for us but also for the entire state.”
Acknowledging the league’s role in providing a platform for emerging kabaddi players, CM Yogi praised the efforts of the organizers. He also assured his presence as the chief guest at the Season 2 inauguration ceremony.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to developing world-class sports infrastructure, including the construction of stadiums in every development block of Uttar Pradesh.
The UPKL, which witnessed an enthusiastic response in its debut season, is expected to further boost kabaddi’s popularity while highlighting local talent on a larger platform.
