UP Government to Extend Full Support for Preservation of Rare Manuscripts: CM Yogi

Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University to review the ongoing manuscript preservation work under the National Manuscript Mission. This marked his third visit to the university campus.

The Chief Minister was given a traditional welcome by students chanting Vedic mantras and performing Swastivachan. He was received by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bihari Lal Sharma, Registrar Rakesh Kumar, Finance Officer Harishankar Mishra, and senior faculty members.

During his inspection, CM Yogi closely reviewed the progress of rare manuscript preservation and directed officials to expedite the work. Emphasizing the cultural and spiritual significance of these manuscripts, he said, “Preserving this heritage is a noble task. The Uttar Pradesh government will provide all possible support to ensure their protection for future generations.”

He also took stock of the expansion building, the historic Saraswati Bhavan library, and other ongoing construction projects.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sharma said the Chief Minister’s repeated visits reflect his commitment to Sanskrit, the university, and India’s cultural heritage. He assured that the university will remain fully dedicated to advancing the preservation mission. Several senior professors, administrative officers, and staff members were present during the visit.
