Varanasi — Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna paid an early morning visit to the sacred Baba Kal Bhairav Temple in Varanasi today. Accompanied by his family, DGP Krishna bowed before the revered deity and sought blessings for peace, prosperity, and safety.
Arriving at dawn, the state’s top police officer participated in the temple rituals with devotion and reverence. His visit to the temple — often regarded as the “Kotwal of Kashi” (Protector of Varanasi) — holds religious significance, especially for those in law enforcement and public service.
The DGP’s presence at the temple attracted attention from devotees and temple staff, many of whom greeted him warmly. Sources close to the DGP’s team shared that he prayed for the well-being of the police force and the safety of citizens across Uttar Pradesh.
DGP Krishna is currently on an official visit to Varanasi, where he is scheduled to review law and order preparedness in light of upcoming festivals and pilgrim influx.
The visit also highlights the continued importance of spiritual traditions in the personal and professional lives of top officials in India.
