Lucknow – Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna inaugurated the newly constructed Navin Adarsh Thana Dakshin in Firozabad district via video conferencing. The new facility is aimed at modernizing policing and enhancing citizen-centric services.
Addressing senior officers and personnel, the DGP said, “A police station is the first centre of trust between citizens and the police, and a better working environment directly improves the quality of public service delivery.” He emphasized that the transformation in police infrastructure over recent years reflects a significant shift from the facilities available 25–30 years ago and stressed the need for scientific planning ahead of the induction of 50,000–60,000 new constables.

The G+3 police station building serves an area of nearly 85 square kilometres, covering a population of approximately 5 lakh. Its jurisdiction includes six police outposts, 22 temples, 33 mosques, 17 banks, and 14 intermediate colleges, with a sanctioned strength of 79 personnel.

The facility features modern amenities such as administrative offices, a Mission Shakti centre, cyber help desk, investigation rooms, lock-up, barracks, dining hall, auditorium, gymnasium, and residential accommodation for around 180 personnel. Special provisions include a crèche for women staff, women’s safety facilities, modern anti-riot equipment, and a fully equipped cyber help desk.
Senior officers present during the inauguration included Anupam Kulshreshtha, Shailesh Pandey, Saurabh Dixit, along with representatives from the construction agency CDS.
