UP Deputy CM Inaugurates Malabar Gold & Diamonds CSR Program in Lucknow

Lucknow– Braiesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the Malabar Gold & Diamonds CSR program in Lucknow, part of the company’s ₹200 crore national CSR commitment for the financial year 2026–27. The initiative in Uttar Pradesh reflects the group’s broader national CSR framework, focusing on education, health, hunger eradication, housing, and environmental sustainability.

The event was held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, with senior representatives from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, invited guests, and local community members in attendance. Under this initiative, 1,500 scholarships are being awarded to economically disadvantaged students across the state. The hunger alleviation program provides approximately 3,200 meals daily in nine cities, while 5,889 students are being supported through 144 micro-learning centers. Additionally, 332 drinking water wells have been constructed, benefiting over 5,700 people, all managed through the Malabar Charitable Trust with a structured social impact approach.

Speaking at the event, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak said,

“Efforts focused on education, health, and community welfare play a critical role in strengthening society at the grassroots. Initiatives like these create opportunities for individuals and contribute meaningfully to inclusive development.”

M. P. Ahammed, Chairman of Malabar Group, added,

“Our CSR initiatives are designed to create long-term and structured impact in communities. The programs implemented in Uttar Pradesh form an integral part of our national commitment, and we are dedicated to ensuring these benefits reach the intended beneficiaries effectively and consistently.”

A significant portion of the national ₹200 crore CSR allocation is earmarked for education, including micro-learning centers for street children and scholarships for girl students. Other programs under the ‘Hunger Free World’ initiative cover food distribution, health services, housing projects like ‘Grandma Home’, and environmental conservation.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds dedicates 5% of its net business profit to social initiatives guided by ESG principles and implemented in collaboration with organizations such as Pratham and Thanal. Through its nationwide CSR efforts, the group has positively impacted over 1.8 million lives, with expansion ongoing across Uttar Pradesh and other regions.
