Lucknow : In a high-level cabinet meeting held today under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved 10 major decisions, covering sectors such as agriculture, industrial development, dairy, rural infrastructure, and civil aviation. The Cabinet also extended heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Army for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, calling it one of the biggest blows to terrorism in recent times.
Key Highlights of the Cabinet Decisions:
1. Seed Park to Create Thousands of Jobs
The Cabinet approved the establishment of a Seed Park in Uttar Pradesh, named after Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh. The facility will be set up in Lucknow on 130.63 acres of land, with an estimated expenditure of ₹251.70 crore. The project aims to boost agricultural innovation and generate thousands of employment opportunities.
2. AMRUT Scheme Relief for Urban Local Bodies
The Urban Development Department’s proposal to reduce the urban local bodies’ share under the AMRUT scheme was approved. In addition, a proposal to waive ₹90 crore of urban local contributions under AMRUT Phase 1 for seven municipalities was passed, offering fiscal relief.

3. Dairy Policy Revised to Attract Investment
The Cabinet approved amendments to the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Milk Product Promotion Policy 2022. The revised policy now includes a 35% capital grant to encourage the establishment of new milk processing units, aimed at boosting rural economy and self-sufficiency.
4. Green Light to Industrial Subsidies
The Industrial Development Department was given the go-ahead to revise subsidies for several companies. Approvals were granted for issuing Letters of Comfort (LOCs) to:

5. Rural Infrastructure Push
The Cabinet sanctioned a policy to promote funding for gram sabha meetings and related expenditures in rural areas. Additionally, approval was granted for the naming of ‘Panchayat Utsav Bhavans’, providing identity and purpose to rural event venues.
6. Civil Aviation Department Employee Benefits Revised
The Cabinet approved a proposal to revise remuneration for contractual employees working in the Directorate of Civil Aviation. These include pilots, co-pilots, engineers, and staff of the Aeronautical Training Institute, who will now receive benefits as per the 7th Pay Commission.
Rajnath Singh on Operation Sindoor: “Most Decisive Strike Against Terror”
Speaking in Srinagar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed Operation Sindoor as “the most significant anti-terror operation so far.” He affirmed that India’s campaign against terrorism will continue uncompromised, asserting, “We do not fear Pakistan’s nuclear blackmail.”
He further emphasized the need for global monitoring of Pakistan’s nuclear assets, taking a sharp dig at Pakistan’s economic state by remarking, “Pakistan has reached a point where wherever it stands, the queue for asking begins.” Referring to Pakistan’s repeated pleas to the IMF, Singh underlined its deteriorating economic sovereignty.
