LUCKNOW | In a major push toward social justice and administrative accountability, Rajesh Verma, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Backward Classes, conducted a comprehensive public hearing today. Held at the Commission’s office in Indira Bhawan, the session addressed 25 complaints and files received from various districts across the state, leading to the immediate resolution of several long-standing issues.
Key Rulings and Directives
During the hearing, the Chairman issued strict instructions to departmental officials, ensuring that negligence in matters concerning the backward classes would not be tolerated.

Employment Discrepancy (Lucknow): In the case of Ram Asre Singh, who complained of not being allowed to join as Deputy Director of Vocational Education and Skill Development Mission despite being selected, the Commission expressed strong displeasure at the absence of the Director of the Skill Development Mission. The present officials were directed to ensure the joining process is completed immediately and report back to the Commission.

Land Disputes (Azamgarh): Regarding the complaint of Sohit Yadav, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) informed the Commission that the land demarcation and stone-laying (Pathargadi) have been completed, effectively resolving the case.

Housing Fraud (Saharanpur): In the case of Rajiv Saini, involving the failure of the Development Authority to approve a map, the Chairman ordered the filing of an FIR against the Director of Paramount Housing Society.

Police Investigation (Barabanki): In the matter of Praveen Kumar, the Superintendent of Police informed the Commission that for a fair probe, the investigation has been transferred from the Circle Officer (CO) of Fatehpur to the CO of Haidergarh.

Property Registry (Bareilly): The case of Jagannath Prasad Gangwar was disposed of after officials confirmed that the registry and possession of the allotted plot could now be processed.

He directed all concerned officials to ensure swift action on the remaining pending cases, highlighting that administrative delays in public grievances would invite departmental action.
