Mirzapur’s Suraj Kumar Patel Tops the Merit List; 3.04 Lakh Candidates Allotted Ranks in Transparent and Technologically Advanced Process
Lucknow : The results of the Uttar Pradesh Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination 2025 were officially declared on Tuesday at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow. The announcement was made in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and Minister of State for Higher Education Rajni Tiwari.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Minister Yogendra Upadhyay praised the Bundelkhand University core committee for conducting the examination with precision and transparency. He emphasized that the policies of the Yogi Adityanath government have ushered in a new era of accountability, innovation, and quality in the state’s higher education sector.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, modern technology has become an integral part of the examination system. From biometric attendance and AI-based monitoring to live surveillance, every step has been taken to ensure fairness and sanctity in the conduct of exams,” Upadhyay said.
Over 3.44 Lakh Candidates Registered; Modern Tech Ensured Transparent Process
Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, was entrusted by the Uttar Pradesh government to organize the state-level examination. The university successfully conducted the exam on June 1, 2025, across 751 centres in 69 districts of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 3,44,546 candidates registered for the exam, including 1,96,700 women and 1,47,846 men.
The exam was held in two shifts with 3,05,332 candidates appearing in the morning session and 3,05,439 in the afternoon session. The highest attendance was recorded in Amethi and Balrampur (93%), while Bijnor saw the lowest at 82%. The entire process was described as peaceful, transparent, and highly secured.
Principal Secretary M.P. Agrawal stated that a high-tech Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) was set up to monitor all examination centres live. Advanced technologies like AI-enabled CCTV, facial recognition, biometric verification, and fingerprint scans were deployed to maintain the integrity of the exam.

Post evaluation, 3,04,980 candidates were allotted ranks, categorized as follows:

Suraj Kumar Patel from Mirzapur secured the top rank in the science stream with a score of 362.662 marks. He was followed by Sheeba Parveen from Bhadohi (Science stream) and Shivangi Yadav from Jaunpur (Arts stream). Among the top 10 candidates, 8 were male and 2 female.
Three candidates were disqualified for using unfair means during the exam, and their results were cancelled. The evaluation process included double scanning of OMR sheets, image scanning, and manual verification by the result committee to ensure accuracy.
Ministers Laud Use of Technology and Transparent Governance
Minister Rajni Tiwari lauded Bundelkhand University for setting a new benchmark in examination standards and technological innovation. “The state government continues to strive for transparency, innovation, and quality in education. This exam is proof that we are moving in the right direction,” she said.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mukesh Pandey, State Coordinator Prof. S.P. Singh, Co-Coordinator Prof. Saurabh Srivastava, and Registrar Raj Bahadur Singh were present at the event along with key core team members.
The successful conduct and declaration of the UP B.Ed. Joint Entrance Examination 2025, within record time and in an exemplary manner, reflects the commitment of the Yogi government towards ensuring merit-based, transparent, and tech-driven higher education in the state.
