Unique Fusion of Science and Art

Lucknow: The third day of the four-day International Computer Olympiad ‘COFAS-2024’, organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar (Campus I), showcased a remarkable global competitive spirit. Over 500 participants from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and various parts of India demonstrated their unique talents in science and art through competitions such as ‘Confabulator’ (debate), ‘COFAS Doodle’, ‘Montage’ (collage), ‘Teenovations’ (science model), ‘Jiv Conkers’ (computer quiz), and ‘Costech’ (choreography).

Rishi Khanna, Head of Communications at City Montessori School, shared this information, stating that the day began with the Junior category ‘Confabulator’ (debate) competition. In this event, students impressively presented their arguments both for and against the topic within a 3-minute timeframe, setting new standards of knowledge and reasoning.

Following this, participants in the ‘Montage’ (collage) competition beautifully blended computer skills with creativity, crafting exceptional collages that reflected their artistic and technical prowess. The ‘Teenovations’ (science model) competition also drew significant attention, where participants created innovative and useful models using discarded computer materials.

In the ‘COFAS Doodle’ competition, participants created diverse and beautiful doodles based on the COFAS logo, while the ‘Costech’ (choreography) competition showcased the students’ vibrant acting and dancing skills.

The written round of the ‘Jeu-Concours’ (computer quiz) competition for the Senior category was also conducted today. The selected teams will compete in the final round tomorrow.
