Lucknow: The Managing Director & CEO of Union Bank of India, A. Manimekhalai, visited the Lucknow Zone on March 7, 2025.
During her visit, she fulfilled the bank’s corporate social responsibility by providing computers, CCTV systems, and solar equipment to the school operated by “Asha Jyoti.” Asha Jyoti Institute for Mentally Handicapped is an educational institution dedicated to social welfare, offering education and skill development to underprivileged and specially-abled children through various programs and awareness campaigns. Ms. Manimekhalai praised the institution’s noble efforts and emphasized the importance of such organizations in maintaining social balance.
Additionally, she inaugurated the new premises of the Corporate Business Centre at the Zonal Office campus.
Union Bank of India’s Lucknow Zonal Office organized a grand MSME Outreach Camp at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomti Nagar. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak. Manimekhalai welcomed all the dignitaries and shared insights into the bank’s various MSME schemes with customers. While addressing the gathering, she reiterated Union Bank of India’s commitment to extending the Government of India’s MSME initiatives to the masses.
Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak urged customers to connect their peers and communities with Union Bank of India to avail the benefits of various government schemes, ensuring economic growth across all sections of society. He also elaborated on the benefits of the “CM Yuva” scheme launched by the Uttar Pradesh government in January and appreciated Union Bank of India’s significant contributions to the scheme’s implementation.
The event was further addressed by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, MSME, Uttar Pradesh, who lauded Union Bank of India’s efforts in loan distribution under the “CM Yuva” scheme.
Zonal Head, Lucknow, Rajesh Kumar, while addressing customers, highlighted various banking initiatives undertaken by the bank to benefit all sections of society. He assured prompt and efficient banking services to customers, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to financial inclusion.
