Prayagraj: The Yogi Adityanath government has taken a new initiative to make the Mahakumbh fair (Mahakumbh 2025) even safer. For the first time, underwater drones will be deployed to ensure the safety of devotees in the Mahakumbh, which will keep a 24-hour surveillance underwater. This drone will be able to immediately identify and report any suspicious activity in the water during the bathing festivals to be held in the Mahakumbh.
Features of underwater drone
The most special thing about this drone is that it can monitor accurately even in the dark and can record any activity by going up to 100 meters in the depth of water. This drone is capable of providing accurate information under any circumstances, so that any emergency can be resolved immediately.
Deployment of drone on the instructions of CM Yogi
On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Inspector General of Police in-charge (East Zone), Prayagraj, Dr. Rajiv Narayan Mishra launched this special underwater drone. Dr. Mishra said that this drone will go up to 100 meters underwater and report every activity to “I Triple C” (Integrated Command and Control Center). This drone can be operated up to unlimited distance and will provide information about any suspicious activity immediately, so that the administration can take necessary steps immediately.
Special strategy for the safety of devotees
A detailed plan has been made for the safety of devotees in Mahakumbh. Teams of SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) and NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) along with PAC (Provincial Armed Constable) will implement security measures together. Apart from this, security forces personnel deployed 24 hours a day on 700 flag boats in the Mahakumbh area will ensure that prompt action can be taken before any kind of accident.
Deployment of remote life buoy
Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, a large number of remote life buoys (life saving devices) will also be deployed. These devices have the capability to transport any person to a safe place in times of crisis in the blink of an eye, thus averting any untoward incident.
