Lucknow: As soon as the model code of conduct ended, the Yogi government has started providing employment opportunities. In line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to expand the transport facilities in the state as well as provide means of employment, Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation (UP Transport Corporation) has decided to recruit contract drivers for many of its depots. These depots include Charbagh, Awadh, Kaiserbagh, Rae Bareli, Suburban, Haidergarh depots in Lucknow region. Interested candidates who want to become contract drivers can contact the office of the Assistant Regional Manager of these depots and fill and submit their application form. The selected candidates will be provided a fixed amount on the basis of km, while many other facilities will be provided along with additional incentives.
The selected ones will get these facilities
According to RK Tripathi, Regional Manager of Transport Corporation (UP Transport Corporation) Lucknow region, the people selected for the posts of contract drivers will be paid at the rate of Rs 1.89 per km. Apart from this, on completing 22 days of duty and 5000 km, Rs 3000 will be provided as incentive.
Not only this, on completion of two years of prescribed service, as per rules, the benefit of fixation system will be available for a total of Rs 19,593 including remuneration and incentives for the excellent category and Rs 16,593 including remuneration and incentives under the Uttam category scheme.
Apart from this, additional incentives will be provided for accident-free bus operation, while a facility of up to Rs 7.5 lakh will be given in the form of EPF and accident insurance. At the same time, the facility of free travel pass will also be available. All the rules and conditions will be applicable as per rules.
This should be the qualification
The minimum qualification for the recruitment of contract drivers has also been fixed by the Transport Corporation (UP Transport Corporation). According to this, only those candidates will be able to apply for the post of contract driver whose height (length) is 5 feet 3 inches or more.
As per the qualification prescribed for the age group, the age of the candidates should be at least 23 years 6 months or more. Similarly, a standard has been set for educational qualification which should be at least eighth class pass.
