U.P. Sangeet Natak Akademi Holds Interviews for Summer Workshop Participants

Lucknow: As part of its annual summer workshops, the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi conducted interviews  for student enrollment across various art disciplines. The workshops aim to promote traditional and performing arts among the youth through hands-on learning under expert guidance.

A total of 214 participants have enrolled in different streams as of May 26. The breakdown includes:

  • Kathak Dance: 74 students

  • Classical Vocal Music: 21 participants

  • Semi-Classical Vocal Music: 25 participants

  • Folk Songs: 27 participants

  • Tabla: 15 participants

  • Theatre: 22 participants

  • Anchoring and Announcing: 15 participants

  • Photography: 15 participants

The Akademi has confirmed that more participants are expected to enroll over the next couple of days, as the workshop slots remain open.

These summer workshops, held annually by the U.P. Sangeet Natak Akademi, provide an opportunity for aspiring artists to immerse themselves in rich Indian cultural traditions and receive formal training from seasoned professionals. The initiative continues to receive an enthusiastic response from students, artists, and parents alike.
