Two-Day National Seminar and Health Camp to be Organized at BBAU — Discussion on the Scientific Perspective of Yoga and Naturopathy

Lucknow: A two-day National Seminar and Health Camp will be organized at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) on October 31 and November 1, 2025. The event is being jointly organized by the Department of Yoga, the Department of Food and Nutrition, and the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, in observance of the 8th National Naturopathy Day.

The program will be presided over by Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice-Chancellor of the University. The Chief Guest of the event will be Shri Ranjan Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The Distinguished Guests will include Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Director, CCRYN and Medical Superintendent, SGPGI, and Dr. Naveen K.V., President, Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Graduates Medical Association.
On the first day, a one-day National Seminar (Hybrid Mode) will be held on the theme ‘Evidence-Based Reversal of Coronary Risk Factors through Yoga and Naturopathic Medicine.’ The seminar will focus on the prevention and reversal of non-communicable diseases such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, and dyslipidemia. Special emphasis will be placed on the scientific aspects of yoga, naturopathic medicine, and natural cooking practices.

On the second day, a Yoga and Naturopathy Consultation and Health Awareness Camp will be held at the University Health Centre, BBAU. The camp will provide free health consultations for students, faculty, and staff of the university, including services such as botanical/functional medicine, yoga-based therapy guidance, naturopathic diet and lifestyle counseling, and physiotherapy services.

The primary objective of this event is to empower the university community, medical professionals/students, and experts in yoga and food nutrition, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Dr. Naveen G.H., Organizing Secretary of National Naturopathy Day 2025, has appealed to the university fraternity and the general public to actively participate in this initiative and contribute to the vision of a ‘Healthy and Empowered India.’
