Lucknow: A two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) which started on 27th March 2026for System Managers and Marketing Executives from Department of Posts, UP Circle was successfully completed on 30th March 2026 under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof. J. P. Saini. The Vice Chancellor has revamped the Consultancy Policy, providing a fresh boost to this policy under which the teachersof the University are being motivated to actively get involved in the consultancy projects in addition to teaching and research activities.
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Ritu Narang Director Consultancy, University of Lucknow and the Principal Consultant of this MDP session said that this training programme heralds the beginning of a new relationship between two significant organizations (University of Lucknow and India Post) of the country. Dr Narang explained that the training programme aimed at enhancing professional competencies, technical expertise, and marketing effectiveness of Managers fromDepartment of Posts, UP Circle. She shared that a total of 164 System Managers and Marketing Executives from districts across Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Ballia, Saharanpur, Prayagraj participated enthusiastically in the two-day training session. Congratulating the Department of Management on the success of the programme,Dr Anand Kumar Singh, Director, Postal Services, U.P. Circle emphasized upon the need for continuous learning and promised to strengthen the bond between the Department of Management and India Post through its future endeavours to train its employees. Head and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies Prof Sangeeta Sahu, Dr. Puneet Mishra, Head Department of Computer Science, Dr. Ajai Prakash, Dr. Nishant Kumar, Mr. Sanjay Medhavi, Dr. Himanshu Mohan, Dr. Anu Kohli, Dr. S. K. Kaushal, Dr. Priya were also present.
The sessions were delivered by distinguished faculty from the Department of Management, Department of Computer Science and Department of Psychology ensuring a holistic learning experience. The topics covered in the sessions ranged from stress management to, cyber hygiene & data security, designing social marketing campaigns, managing human-machine relationships, product and business development strategies. Dr Narang maintained that the Department of Management, University of Lucknow, will continue to play a pivotal role in bridging academic expertise with real-world administrative and organizational needs through such impactful consultancy programmes.
