Trump Labels London Mayor Sadiq Khan – Among the Worst Mayors in the World

London – During his official visit to the United Kingdom, former US President Donald Trump launched a fresh round of criticism against London Mayor Sadiq Khan, calling him “among the worst mayors in the world” over his handling of immigration and crime.

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said he had requested that Khan not be invited to the official dinner held in his honor. “I didn’t want him there… Sadiq Khan the mayor of London wasn’t welcomed, and he did not attend,” he stated.

Trump criticized the Mayor’s performance, asserting that “crime in London is through the roof” and describing Khan’s handling of immigration as “appallingly” ineffective.

The remarks came as Trump concluded his UK visit, which was briefly delayed when a “minor hydraulic issue” forced him and First Lady Melania Trump to board a backup helicopter before departing from London. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the president and first lady landed safely at a nearby airstrip before proceeding to Stansted Airport.

During a joint news conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump also discussed his personal rapport with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, “I’m very close to India… I wished him a happy birthday recently. Our relationship is going very well.”

Trump further commented on global conflicts, including the Russia-Ukraine war, expressing disappointment in Russian President Vladimir Putin and asserting that the conflict would not have started if he had remained in office. “If I had been president, this would never have occurred,” he said, emphasizing that the war’s escalation took place over four years.
