Lucknow — Tree Plantation Drive at Scholars’ Home, in collaboration with Chintan – Environmental Research and Action Group, successfully conducted a Tree Plantation Drive on campus under the guidance of environmentalist Dr. Bhavya Singh. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s Principal,. Anupam Singh.
Students of Classes V and VI participated with enthusiasm and commitment, planting saplings around the school premises and pledging to care for them as their own responsibility. Dr. Bhavya Singh interacted with the students, educating them on the growing threat of air pollution caused by road dust and the declining Air Quality Index (AQI). She emphasized the critical role trees play in purifying the environment and encouraged students to become “Saaf Saans Sipahi” – warriors for clean air.
In a bid to keep students motivated, Dr. Bhavya announced that she would return to the school in the coming months to recognize and reward students whose saplings show the maximum growth and vitality. This initiative, she said, aims to build accountability and foster a long-term connection between children and nature.

Principal Anupam Singh addressed the gathering and urged every student to plant at least one sapling in their neighbourhood. “Real change begins at home,” she said, encouraging children to become ambassadors of environmental preservation beyond the school campus.
The drive was not only a lesson in environmental responsibility but also a celebration of teamwork and sustainability. The students left the event inspired and aware that their small actions today could lead to a healthier, greener planet tomorrow.
