Lucknow: In the National Book Fair that is on, people took stock of the criminally dominant situations of the last decades of the last century from the point of view of a sharp police officer through a discussion on books. A series of such literary events began on the fair stage.
On the second day of the twenty-first book fair book lovers kept coming and going amidst intermittent rains and the series of events continued. In the fair, Rajpal and Sons have brought thousands of books worth 11 lakhs in the first consignment.
Along with Setu, Setu Prakashan also has books of Vagdevi Prakashan and Sarjana in large quantities. Thousands of titles of books will be available at Vani’s stall.
Prabhat Prakashan has come to the fair with dozens of best sellers and new books like Agni ki Udaan, Maharana, 32 Hazar Saal Pahle, Over the Top. Rajkamal’s stall also has books of many old publishers like Radhakrishna, Lokbharati, Sahitya Bhavan, Saransh etc.
Fair director Aakarsh Chandel said that the fair has books on almost every subject ranging from children’s, women’s choice to literature, religion-spirituality, art, history, food. Along with Hindi, English, there are also many books in Sanskrit and Urdu.
The programs on the cultural stage started this morning with a poetry session by Navsarjan Sanstha. In the same sequence, Bodhras Prakashan released Rajni A.’s novel Shama, which is centered on a female character. In the afternoon, in Rajkamal’s program, a discussion was held on former police officer Rajesh Pandey’s book Varchasva, written on a special period of the state.
In the presence of author Rajesh and senior journalist Bhupendra Pandey, the editor of the book Suhail Waheed conducted the program and also read important parts of the book. Under the aegis of Sahitya Aaradhan, four works of Alka Pramod, story collection- Khidki ke Paar, teenage novel- Hamari Bhi Suno, children’s story collection Pari Lok Ka Rahasya and children’s article collection Chamakte Sitare Prerna Hamare were released in the presence of guests Mahesh Chandra Dwivedi, Sanjeev Jaiswal Sanjay, Neelam Rakesh, Dr. Karuna Pandey and Dr. Shraddha Pandey. Dr. Amita Dubey, Pramod Kumar Pandey, Manoj Chandel and many other authors were present at the function. Finally, in the Kavi Sammelan organized by Revant Sanstha, many compositions on social topics were presented.
