Training organized for Bamboo farmers

Divisional Forest Officer Deeksha Bhandari inaugurated the training program of farmers/artisans and forest workers under the National Bamboo Mission Scheme at the Common Facility Center located at CB Ganj under Bareilly Range of Bareilly Forest Division. The Divisional Forest Officer threw light on the purpose and need of bamboo and how plastic can be replaced by bamboo products.

Regional Forest Officer Harish Singh Mehta and Regional Forest Officer Faridpur presented their statements. Training was given by the master trainer from Ashirwad Welfare Society, Lucknow, regarding the importance of bamboo and the products made from it, in which about 150 women participated and received training. Sub Divisional Forest Officer Kamal Kumar, Sub Divisional Forest Officer Amla Apoorva Pandey, Regional Forest Officer Harish Singh Mehta and staff from other ranges were also present in the program.
