Lucknow: In a strong enforcement drive, the traffic police carried out a special campaign at Atal Chowk in Lucknow under the leadership of Traffic Inspector Uday Pratap Singh and Second Traffic Inspector Prabhash Singh.
The अभियान focused on clearing congestion caused by vehicles parked haphazardly at the busy intersection. Officials took strict action against motorists who were found blocking traffic by stopping their vehicles at the crossing, leading to frequent jams in the area.
Particular attention was given to unauthorized e-rickshaws operating in the restricted zone of Hazratganj. Traffic personnel conducted document checks and enforcement proceedings against violators. Around 15 e-rickshaws were seized during the drive for flouting traffic norms and entering prohibited areas.
Second Traffic Inspector Prabhash Singh, along with Traffic Diwan Sunil Yadav and a substantial police force, supervised the operation to ensure smooth implementation.
The traffic department stated that such drives will continue to maintain discipline on city roads and prevent congestion in high-footfall commercial zones like Hazratganj. Citizens have been urged to follow traffic regulations and cooperate with authorities.
