Ghaziabad: In compliance with the directives of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the State Traffic Directorate, November is being observed as Traffic Month across the state. This annual initiative, aimed at promoting road safety and public awareness, is being celebrated this year from November 1 to November 30, 2025.
Marking the commencement of Traffic Month 2025, an inaugural ceremony and awareness rally were held at the Parade Ground in Police Lines, Ghaziabad, on November 1, 2025. The rally was jointly flagged off by Additional Police Commissioner (Headquarters/Crime) Keshav Kumar Chaudhary and Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order/Traffic) Alok Priyadarshi of Ghaziabad Commissionerate.
The rally began from Police Lines, proceeded through Hapur Chungi, and returned to the starting point, concluding successfully. A total of 120 traffic police personnel participated, including both two-wheeler and four-wheeler contingents. The main objective of the rally was to raise public awareness and encourage motorists to follow traffic rules and road safety norms.
Senior officials including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), officers from the Transport Department, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Civil Defence representatives, members of the Transport Union, and all traffic inspectors were present during the event.

Following the rally, Ghaziabad Traffic Police distributed 200 helmets free of cost to two-wheeler riders at Hapur Chungi as part of their road safety initiative.
The overarching goal of Traffic Month 2025 is to reduce road accidents, enhance public awareness about road safety, and ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations. Throughout the month, Ghaziabad Traffic Police will conduct a series of awareness and enforcement campaigns with the active participation of citizens, vehicle owners, students, volunteers, and various stakeholder organisations.
The campaign underscores the police’s commitment to creating safer roads and a responsible driving culture in Ghaziabad.
