Lucknow: In view of Holi celebrations and various processions scheduled across the city on March 4, the Lucknow Traffic Police has announced a special traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement and maintain public safety.
The diversion will be in effect from 9:00 am on March 4, 2026, until the conclusion of the festivities.
As per the advisory, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented:

From Kaiserbagh Ashok Lat Chauraha, general traffic will not be allowed towards Nazirabad Chauraha. Vehicles will be diverted via Latouche Road or Kaiserbagh Bus Stand.

From Chhatri Wala Chauraha (Sakri Centre), traffic heading towards Nazirabad Chauraha will be restricted and diverted through Post Office Aminabad or Shri Ram Road.

From Gwynne Road Chauraha, vehicles will not proceed towards Nazirabad Chauraha and will instead be redirected via Post Office Aminabad or Kaiserbagh Bus Stand.

From Khyaliganj Tiraha, traffic towards Nazirabad Chauraha will be restricted and diverted through Kaiserbagh Bus Stand, Gwynne Road, Post Office Aminabad, or Kaiserbagh Ashok Lat Chauraha.

From Shri Ram Road Tiraha near Koneshwar Chauraha, vehicles will not be permitted towards Chowk Chauraha and will be diverted via Ghantaghar and Rumi Gate.

Similarly, traffic from Chowk Chauraha towards Koneshwar Chauraha will be restricted and rerouted via Rumi Gate Chauraha and Ghantaghar.
Authorities have clarified that during the processions, emergency services including ambulances, hearses, fire services, and school vehicles will be allowed on restricted routes in case of medical or unavoidable emergencies, subject to coordination with traffic or local police personnel.
