Lucknow: A “Grow Your Business” program was organized at the state office of the Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, where traders from across the city gathered to learn practical strategies to expand their businesses and adapt to the changing market environment.
The session was led by renowned motivational speaker and seven-time Guinness World Record holder Dinesh Gupta Anand Shri, who shared valuable insights and practical tips with traders and office bearers of the organization. His address focused on modern business strategies, encouraging traders to embrace innovation and adopt digital tools to remain competitive.
State President Sanjay Gupta said that traders today face numerous challenges due to rapidly changing market conditions. He noted that the organization is actively working through various initiatives to prepare traders to face these challenges effectively. The “Grow Your Business” program, he added, was organized with the aim of equipping traders with new ideas and practical skills to strengthen their enterprises.
During the session, Dinesh Gupta emphasized the importance of identifying a target market and understanding customers’ needs. He highlighted key business principles such as “Know Your Customer,” providing value, seeking customer feedback, offering discounts, and building trust through guarantees. He also stressed the importance of using digital platforms like YouTube and social media to promote products and expand reach.

Explaining the concept of the “JR 251 Rule,” Gupta said that every individual is connected to approximately 251 people and traders should initially focus on converting these known contacts into customers. He also urged traders to collect customer feedback and use it as “social proof” through digital platforms to build credibility.
Gupta further encouraged traders to move beyond traditional methods and adopt modern technology. He said that the era of running businesses solely from a shop counter has changed and merchants must actively reach out to customers through online platforms. Creating a brand identity and consistently sharing product-related content, including short videos on YouTube, can significantly enhance business visibility, he added.
The program was attended by several office bearers and traders, including state treasurer Mohammad Afzal, state minister Sandeep Singh Gaur, state general secretary Shashikant Sharma, city president Harjinder Singh, city general secretaries Rajeev Shukla and Sanjay Trivedi, vice presidents Pravesh Jain and Rizwan Haider, along with many other traders and members of the organization.
