Lucknow: A traders’ conference held today in the Lucknow East Assembly constituency concluded successfully, drawing participation from a large number of businessmen and local representatives. The event witnessed the presence of Lucknow Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi and Lucknow East MLA O.P. Srivastava, who highlighted the benefits of the recent reduction in GST rates.
Speaking on the occasion, Anand Dwivedi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has taken several people-centric decisions, including the reduction in GST rates. “This move has provided relief to small traders from heavy tax burdens and made essential commodities more affordable for the common people,” he stated.
MLA O.P. Srivastava emphasized that the conference served as an important platform for traders to come together and discuss their concerns and ideas. “We will continue to work collectively for the prosperity and growth of the trading community. Such events are instrumental in empowering both traders and consumers while supporting the vision of a self-reliant India,” he said.
Srivastava also extended his gratitude to all participating traders, guests, and party officials for their active involvement in the event.

According to Media In-charge Praveen Garg, the program was attended by Lucknow Metropolitan Vice President Ashok Tiwari, Rakesh Singh, Ghanshyam Agarwal, Trade Cell President Abhishek Khare, Adarsh Vyapar Mandal President Sanjay Gupta, GST Deputy Commissioner Bhupendra Singh, Satyendra Singh, Chartered Accountant Pawan Dhawan, Trader Leader Shekhar Kumar, various ward presidents, councillors, and a large number of business representatives.
The event concluded with a call to strengthen coordination between traders and policymakers for the continued growth of Lucknow’s business ecosystem.
