Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s rich historical and cultural tapestry is being showcased at the Arabian Travel Mart, being held in Dubai until May 1st. Lucknow’s iconic landmarks, including Rumi Darwaza, Bara Imambara, and the Clock Tower, along with other tourist attractions from the state, are being prominently displayed at the international event. The Tourism Department has made extensive preparations to present the state’s key historical heritage, natural sites, and other tourist attractions on the global stage.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated today that the rich heritage, architectural marvels, and cultural diversity of Lucknow and other parts of the state will be presented at this international platform to attract foreign tourists. Along with Lucknow’s tourist attractions, prominent sites such as Buland Darwaza, Fatehpur Sikri in Agra, the National Chambal Sanctuary, the Buddhist Circuit, and other destinations are being promoted. He emphasized that the aim is to establish Lucknow as a major destination on the world tourism map. Heritage sites like Rumi Darwaza and Bara Imambara are not only the pride of Lucknow but also invaluable treasures of history.
Jaiveer Singh further mentioned that the state government is striving to establish major religious, cultural, and natural sites beyond Lucknow, such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Vindhyachal, on the global stage as well. The Tourism Department is actively engaging in direct dialogue with foreign tour operators, travel agents, and investors to open new avenues for tourism investment in the state.

The Tourism Minister explained that through the Travel Mart, Lucknow’s craftsmanship, handicrafts, cuisine, and cultural diversities will also be presented to an international audience. This initiative is expected to not only increase the number of foreign tourists but also create new opportunities for local artisans and businesses associated with tourism. The Minister further added that this endeavor is an innovative effort to boost the economy of Lucknow and the entire Uttar Pradesh, and to generate new employment opportunities for the youth.
