Lucknow: Sanskrit Sansthanam Lucknow has concluded the Akhand Paath of Valmiki Ramayana on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in its premises. Akhand Paath of Valmiki Ramayana was done by Sanskrit scholars Raj Mishra, Tarun Mishra, Gopal Mishra, Dhruv Sharma, Kaushal Sharma and Pushpendra Sharma who came from Shri Chandi Sanskrit Secondary School, Hapur.
Welcoming the guest scholars, audience, media friends invited to the program, the director of the institute Vinay Srivastava said that the word Adi Kavi is made up of the combination of ‘Adi’ and ‘Kavi’.
‘Adi’ means ‘first’ and ‘Kavi’ means ‘composer of poetry’. Valmiki was called Adi Kavi because he composed the first Sanskrit epic. Along with this, it was told that Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan has been organizing felicitation ceremonies of great personalities of Sanskrit world, in the same sequence, a grand event was organized in the institute under the birth anniversary celebration of Maharishi Valmiki ji. Under this, recitation of original Valmiki Ramayana, Sanskrit scholar seminar and Sanskrit kavi sammelan are being organized.
A lecture seminar was organized on the topic “Valmiki Ramayana Vishwabandhutvam” from 02:00 pm in which Prof. Bharat Bhushan Tripathi, Dr. Neeraj Tiwari, Dr. Rudranarayan Narsingh Mishra participated and told that various events are being organized on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, in the same sequence, the feeling of world brotherhood of Valmiki ji is amazingly inspiring. Amazing thinking for the welfare of the world which is full of truth, love and harmony and using power for the welfare of the people, special importance of sacrifice and penance at family, social, national and global level, Maharishi Valmiki ji’s eternal universal thinking filled with all these noble feelings inspires all living beings.
Thereafter, a Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan was organized at 4:00 pm under the chairmanship of poet Padma Shri Prof. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra who had come from Shimla. The Kavi Sammelan was conducted by Dr. Arvind Kumar Tiwari. Padma Shri Dr. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra, the great poet, won the hearts of all the symposians when he presented a melodious and beautiful verse on the subject of Ram and the entire auditorium resounded with applause.
Dr. Gayatri Prasad Pandey, a retired PCS officer from Varanasi, guided all the poets with his experience of mature poetry recitation and recited his sweet poem. Dr. Singhasan Pandey, who came from Deoria, entertained the entire audience with his two songs, Prabhuram Kajari Geetam and Bharati Nari Geetam ‘Navatulsikalwalam Virchayami Sakhe’. Dr. Rajendra Tripathi ‘Rasraj’, who came from Prayagraj, enthralled everyone by presenting a composition named Jayatu Sanskritam Sanskriti: Bharatesmin and Maharishi Valmiki: Kavikulasamaje Vijayate. Dr. Arvind Kumar Tiwari, who came from Baghpat, recited melodious poetry on the subject of ancient poet Maharishi Valmiki and Ram Mandir.
Dr. Shashikant Tiwari, who came from Chapra, recited two short verses, a Sanskrit song about the original poet Lord Valmiki, a Sanskrit song and a poem ‘Awadhashashi Avadhpurimayati’ on the subject of how the people of Ayodhya and the entire country are celebrating the installation of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. Poete Dr. Priyanka Arya, who came from Jammu, enthralled the entire audience with her poetry recitation. Dr. Ram Mishra ji, who came from Prayagraj, enthralled the audience with his composition on Ram. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Jha, who came from Rajasthan, presented the composition written in Valmikirivijayate Shardulvikridit verse and captivated the hearts of all the well-wishers present on the stage and auditorium with Ramjanmageeti: ‘Awadhpuri Saryuttatvasinah Pulkitaah’.
