Three Notorious Burglars Arrested by Krishna Nagar Police in Lucknow

Lucknow – The Krishna Nagar Police in Uttar Pradesh’s capital city, Lucknow, arrested three notorious thieves  near the Kanosi Bridge for targeting locked houses in the area. The arrests were made during a routine patrol, and stolen goods were recovered from their possession.

Inspector P.K. Singh, who led the operation, confirmed that the accused were conducting reconnaissance of locked homes before committing thefts. During interrogation, the trio revealed their identities as follows:

  1. Sachin Kumar alias Lavkush Kumar, son of Baiju Kumar, originally from Korinpurwa village, under Bambhua police station, Gonda district. He is currently residing in the Aliganj area of Lucknow.

  2. Altaf Khan, son of Viraj Pandey, a resident of Tola under Aliganj police station, Lucknow.

  3. Nuruddin alias Sameer, son of Mohammad Shami, originally from Alhiyapur village, under Kaisarganj police station in Bahraich district, and presently residing in Dandaiya, Aliganj, Lucknow.

From the accused, the police recovered:

  • A gold chain, ring, and jhumka studded with artificial gems

  • Two silver bracelets

  • ₹2,970 in cash

  • Three mobile phones

  • An Aadhaar card

  • Debit cards from UCO Bank and HDFC Bank

  • A scooty used in the crimes

According to police sources, all three men are friends and worked in coordination. They would identify locked houses, break in, and then divide the stolen items among themselves.

During questioning, the accused confessed to a theft incident that took place on May 13 in the Sindhu Nagar area under Krishna Nagar police limits. Based on the recovery of stolen items and their confessions, they have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and were subsequently sent to jail.

Police have assured further investigation is ongoing and more theft cases linked to the trio may soon be unearthed.
