Three-Day Commerce Street Fest 2026 Inaugurated at Lucknow University

Lucknow: The vibrant three-day Commerce Street Fest 2026 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at the Faculty of Commerce, University of Lucknow. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Hon’ble Rajya Sabha Member and former Deputy Chief Minister Professor Dinesh Sharma, along with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Alka Khanna.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by warmth and tradition as Professor Archana Singh, Dean and Event Coordinator of the Faculty of Commerce, extended a gracious welcome to all the dignitaries. Guests were felicitated with bouquets, shawls, and mementos in appreciation of their presence and contribution.

The program commenced with a soulful Ganesh Vandana and a melodious song performance by students of the Faculty of Commerce and the National Service Scheme (NSS), setting a devotional and festive tone for the event.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Professor Dinesh Sharma reminisced about his association with Lucknow University and fondly remembered his former teachers from the Faculty of Commerce. He inspired students to embrace the spirit of Swadeshi, uphold discipline, and pursue excellence through hard work and integrity. He also lauded the initiative of the Commerce Street Fest, terming it a wonderful platform for creativity and learning, and extended his best wishes to the organizing team and students.

In her address, Vice Chancellor Professor Alka Khanna congratulated the Faculty for organizing the fest, commending the dedication and teamwork behind it. She encouraged students to maintain discipline and decorum throughout the event and expressed confidence that the three-day celebration would serve as a meaningful experience blending learning, innovation, and fun.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Professor Archana Singh, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their cooperation and participation.

The Commerce Street Fest 2026 will continue for the next two days, featuring academic exhibitions, entrepreneurial showcases, cultural performances, and student-led activities celebrating the spirit of commerce and creativity at Lucknow University.
