Lucknow: In the Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency, the traditional caravan of faith and service once again moved forward with divine zeal. MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh flagged off three buses carrying devotees from Gram Sabha Saraiya to Ayodhya for sacred darshan, marking the successful conduct of the 51st ‘Ramrath Shravan Ayodhya Yatra’.
This journey fulfilled the promise made by Dr. Rajeshwar Singh on November 4, 2025, during an Intellectuals’ Conference, where he had pledged to send three buses of devotees from Saraiya to Ayodhya for Ram Darshan. On Monday, that promise was honored, as hundreds of devotees began their spiritual journey with resounding chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
An Atmosphere of Organization and Service
At the beginning of the journey, members of the MLA’s team welcomed all devotees with shawls and religious scarves, ensuring a dignified departure. Throughout the route, meticulous arrangements were made for meals, refreshments, medical care, and rest stops.
The team’s dedicated volunteers transformed the entire experience into a heartfelt expression of faith through service, blending devotion with humanity.
A Tradition of Service Continuing for Three Years
The ‘Ramrath Shravan Ayodhya Yatra’, initiated by Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, has been running continuously for over three years. During this period, nearly 8,000 residents, especially elderly citizens and women, have had the opportunity to visit Ayodhya and seek the blessings of Lord Ram.
More than a religious event, this initiative represents a humanitarian and social mission, started in sacred memory of Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s late mother, Smt. Tara Singh Ji.

‘Ayodhya Darshan’ for the Underprivileged
According to Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, “Our aim is to bring the holy experience of Ayodhya to those for whom this journey of faith was once just a dream.”
This ‘Ramrath Shravan Yatra’ symbolizes respect for women and senior citizens, reflecting the values of compassion and inclusivity deeply embedded in Indian culture.
The journey has infused Sarojini Nagar with a renewed sense of social harmony, faith, and public service, proving that politics can be more than governance — it can be a vow of public welfare.
From Faith to Emotional Fulfillment
The ‘Ramrath Shravan Ayodhya Yatra’ has now become a symbol of devotion, service, and cultural revival in Sarojini Nagar.
Every journey brings not just spiritual bliss for the devotees but also leaves them with a transformative experience — a journey where the vision of Lord Ram is accompanied by the spirit of service that continues long after returning home.
