Lucknow: A major theft incident in Karjhan village under the Kakori police station area created panic among residents late last night, leaving two economically weaker families devastated.
According to reports, unidentified thieves targeted the homes of Sarvesh Kumar Gautam and Dhaniram Gautam. The miscreants allegedly broke open trunks and cupboards, decamping with valuables including jewellery, clothes and household items.
The loss was particularly severe for Dhaniram Gautam’s family, as jewellery and essential items purchased for his son’s upcoming wedding in April were also stolen. Family members said the incident has left them in deep distress, describing the atmosphere at home as one of mourning.
Local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter. Officials said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused at the earliest
