Prayagraj: The trailer of The Manipur Diaries (also titled The Diary of Manipur), starring Mahakumbh viral sensation Monalisa, was officially released in Prayagraj. Director Sanoj Mishra launched the trailer at a private hotel in the presence of the film’s cast and crew. He shared that the trailer was unveiled in Prayagraj as the journey of the film began there. Made over nearly a year with a budget of around ₹10 crore, the film marks Monalisa’s debut in cinema.
The film is a love story featuring Monalisa opposite Prayagraj-based actor Abhishek Tiwari, connecting Delhi with Northeast Manipur. Shot largely in Manipur and Uttarakhand, with portions filmed in Nepal, the movie blends romance with social themes.
Monalisa said the film demanded hard work, but she received strong support from the director and her family. The film is expected to release in the first week of April, and fans are eagerly awaiting it.
